CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – South Carolina lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow voters to decide if stores should sell liquor on Sundays.

The bill proposed would apply to ten South Carolina counties including Charleston, Beaufort, Florence, Georgetown and Horry counties.

Critics have cited studies suggesting that driving related crashes jump in states where liquor is sold seven days a week.
