Woman Doing it All
Amy Hill is from Sandy Run, South Carolina, where she is a very active career woman on top of a bust life as a wife, mother and dog lover. But all of her pursuits were interrupted when a minor back pain at work just kept getting worse.
“It got to the point where I couldn’t sit on the couch comfortably, I couldn’t lay in the bed comfortably, I couldn’t drive in the car or sit at work,” she said.
So Amy tried everything relieve her pain. Her husband Michael even went out and got anything that he could find! “We bought an inverter, we bought a massage table, you name it and we probably bought it… but nothing ever really worked,” he said.
Not being able to find a remedy for her pain really started to take a toll on Amy’s lifestyle. “I started gaining weight because I couldn’t do the things I was used to, so it was depressing. You are just afraid to move around a lot and if somebody jars you, it is almost like a knife stabbing down your legs.”
As her pain became intense, so did her research. She finally decided it was worth the trip down to Charleston to see the Southeastern Spine Institute.
So were the doctors able to help Amy and get her life back on the normal path she was so used to? Watch our story to see just how the doctors were able to help Amy’s pain.
