CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — Members of the Charleston Police Department and Attorney Gary Christmas stopped by to help us put the spotlight on back-to-school safety.

Officers will be present at Charleston County’s First Day Festival this Sunday at Liberty Square to help talk about bike safety as part of Helmets for Kids program.

Gary Christmas, a partner of the Charleston-based law firm Howell & Christmas, is proud to represent Lowcountry Helmets for Kids, a nonprofit providing free bicycle helmets to children throughout the Lowcountry region. Bikes for Kids will be present at the City of Charleston’s First Day Festival to give out free helmets this Sunday at the SC Aquarium.
