COLLETON COUNTY, SC — Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter (FOCCAS) started in 2009 as a result of the county funding being decreased to the animal shelter, and members of the community finding the need to help with the animals and support the staff.

The three main objectives of FOCCAS are spay and neuter to help with the overpopulation problem, education to help with educating the community about how to take care of their animals and to reduce the population, and also rescue.

FOCCAS is gearing up for our 3rd annual ‘Walk and Wag’ at the wildlife sanctuary on September 10th from 11am to 1pm.

This is a family and animal friendly event where we will have Going to the Dogs band, a photo booth, and if you purchase a t-shirt and wear it to the event you will receive free lunch.

It is a wonderful time to come together and support the shelter.
