Congressional Efforts Being Made to Avoid Another Shutdown
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTAT-TV) – Leaders on Capitol Hill are still trying to avoid yet another government shutdown.
They hoped to reach an agreement by Monday, February 11th, but ultimately have until Friday, February 15th, to come up with a compromise.
President Trump says that lawmakers are not getting anywhere close to his $5.7-billion demand for the border wall.
Mick Mulvaney, President Trump’s chief of staff, another shutdown is definitely a possibility.
