Deadly Discovery at Greenville Racetrack
GREENVILLE, SC (WTAT-TV) — We have learned some new information about a deadly discovery in the upstate. A bizarre set of events transpired Thursday and ended with three bodies being found inside a parked SUV at a Pickens County racetrack.
The SUV was first spotted by a news photographer on his way home from work.
“They were all three inside, again the vehicle was locked and it was running. We don’t have anything right now that leaves us to believe that anyone else is involved,” said Chief Deputy Creed Hashe with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. “I’ll tell you they have wounds that are consistent with gunshot wounds.”
The names of the people found inside have not been released.
Officials confirmed this was the same SUV police were looking for in connection with another deadly shooting. They believe that SUV was used by a woman who shot and killed someone in a parking garage in Greenville, SC.
WYFF-TV reports that victim has been identified as 28-year-old Meredith Rahme. According to news reports, the shooter approached the Rahme, who was in a vehicle in the parking garage at the time, and fired into the vehicle, killing her.
Police have not yet said what the relationship is between the shooter and the victim.
