DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WTAT-TV) — Dorchester County Council will be meeting Monday to discuss new rules on fireworks.

The ordinance, if passed, would make it illegal to shoot off fireworks before ten o’clock in the morning and after ten o’clock at night unless it is New Year’s Eve, Day or the Fourth of July.

However, even those holidays would have set hours for fireworks discharge.

Violators would face fines up to $100.
