DUI Suspect: “I’m a very clean, thoroughbred, white girl”
BLUFFTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — She saw the blue lights, was placed in a squad car and then started to plead her case.
Please, I’ve never been arrested. I’ve never been to jail. Please, I don’t want to know what it’s like,” she begged officers. “I’m a pretty girl. Please don’t make me go in there.”
Lauren Cutshaw, 32, was arrested in Bluffton, SC early Saturday morning after blowing through a stop sign at 60 mph, nearly t-boning another vehicle.
Officers noted in their report she told them she shouldn’t be arrested because she is a “very clean, thoroughbred, white girl.”
When asked what that had to do with anything, she replied, “You’re a cop, you should know what that means.”
After administering a series of field sobriety tests, officers say Cutshaw blew a breath test of .18%, more than twice the legal limit.
Cutshaw told the officer she had two glasses of wine that night. “I mean, I was celebrating my birthday,” she said.
She also talked about everything from her education to her job, but the police officer was not having it.
Cutshaw was charged with drunk driving, speeding and marijuana possession.
