Goose Creek Animal Control Searching for Rabid Cat

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WTAT-TV) — Goose Creek Animal Control is on the lookout after a woman was bitten by a rabid cat.

Officials say it happened on Holly Avenue last month.

She went to the hospital after her arm and hand began to swell. She was then diagnosed with rabies.

Goose Creek Animal Control say they do not know if the animal has been caught.

Police have not provided a description of the cat.
