Group to Hold Rally for “Electoral Justice” Saturday
CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — The South Carolina chapter of The Women’s March is expected to hold a rally this weekend in downtown Charleston.
The group says it plans to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the historic Women’s March on Washington.
This is a so-called Charleston Rally for Electoral Justice, and it will be focused on several election-related issues like equitable access to the political process and equal representation in government.
Members are calling for the end of what they see as voter suppression. They plan to gather at Brittlebank Park from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
