Gun Tax Could Fund More School Resource Officers
CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – One in five people in South Carolina own a gun legally. Now there is a potential tax hike on the table.
South Carolina lawmakers are are discussing a seven percent increase to handguns in order to help fund school resource officers in the state. The tax increase could bring in $22-million to the state.
