House Votes to End Government Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTAT-TV) – The balance of power has shifted in the new Congress.

A Democratic controlled House passed legislation to reopen the government.

Nancy Pelosi now holds the third highest position in government as the sixty-third House Speaker.

House Democrats voted on Thursday, January 4th, on proposals to reopen the government and the bill passed. President Trump says that he will veto any bill that does not include $5-billion for border wall funding.
