How You Can Buy a Fresh-Cut Christmas Tree and Bring Holiday Cheer to Local Families in Need
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (TIM RENAUD, WTAT-TV) — Thanksgiving has now passed and the shopping frenzy is ending. Many of you will spend the next few days decorating your homes for the holidays.
So, will you buy a real Christmas tree this year or will you pull out the dusty evergreen from the attic?
For those looking to bring in a live tree, now you can do so while giving back to our community.
For every tree purchased from BOGO Christmas Tree Company, another fresh tree will be donated to a qualifying family in the Charleston area.
“We are trying to create a family tradition out of giving during the holiday season,” said co-founder of the mom-and-pop business, Katrina Limbach. “Picking out a Christmas tree has always been a staple of our family and what better way to teach our children important lessons than through these traditions.”
For the past two seasons, the company has donated over 275 fresh-cut Fraser Firs to families throughout the tri-county area.
This year, they are partnering with Operation Fir, an East Cooper Community Outreach initiative, to deliver over a hundred real trees and new decorating kits on December 16.
After the first one hundred trees are purchased, the Christmas Tree Company will donate a Christmas ham, of equal value, for every tree purchased through East Cooper Community Outreach’s holiday meal program.
The promotion began on November 18th at their new Christmas tree lot located at 1735 N Highway 17, just south of Mount Pleasant Towne Center.
If you purchase a tree from BOGO Christmas Tree Company, we’d love to know! Send us a photo of your freshly decorated Christmas tree – you may see it on TV!
