JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WTAT-TV) — We’ve certainly seen cool wildlife pictures around the Lowcountry; a coyote here, fox there, but a man recently captured something rather large we have not yet seen.

David Bollinger sent us pictures of a large bobcat roaming Johns Island. He took the images using a motion sensor camera strapped to a tree.

Bollinger says he’s seen a lot of deer, turkeys and coyotes but never a bobcat.

DNR officials say bobcats in are typically found in heavily forested areas in the coastal plain in South Carolina.
