CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — It’s a big holiday weekend and there are entirely too many celebrations going on, but we want to know about the fireworks! We’ll skip ahead to Independence Day first where Patriots Point never fails to deliver. The Patriots Point 4th of July Blast flight deck and vip tickets are sold out at this time, but the viewing from the shore is free. Set up any time during the day with chairs, blankets and tents and enjoy live music starting at 4pm and of course the fireworks later on.

Another great venue and event to view the light show is the Uncle Sam Jam which opens at 7 on the fourth. Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park will get you over 1200 feet out into the harbor under the Ravenel for one of the best views in town, plus live Carolina beach and party music from Recollections.

A couple of other quick mentions over the weekend, don’t miss the Festival of Mountain Music at Freshfields Village on Kiawah on Sunday, also on Sunday, WEZL presents Stars and Guitars with Trace Adkins and more on the lawn of Boone Hall Plantation.

I’m Adam Bradley and we’ll see you there with your shades on!
