CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — It’s gonna be a hot one this weekend, folks but that’s part of why we love living here, so grab those shades and get outside – we’ve got a couple of great ways to sweat it out.

This Friday a country music legend will be at The Grove at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant. Tracy Lawrence, who tore up the country charts all throughout the 90’s with 8 Billboard number one singles brings his sound to one of my favorite outdoor venues around.

Following up on Saturday the 4th annual Charleston Caribbean Jerk Festival fires up at 4pm at Riverfront Park. With the best in Caribbean food, culture and music. The focus of this one is on the food, with the highlight being the cook-off where the biggest jerks from the southeast attempt to take down the three-time champs Reggae Grill in the cook-off, which they have obviously named the Top Jerk Chef Contest….

That’s it for Lens on Local for this week – I’m Adam Bradley and we’ll see you there with your shades on!
