Lens on Local: What’s Happening This Week in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — We’ll start things off with a very unique event that happens tomorrow at Patriots Point. The 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, better known as the “Magnificent Bastards” will be the focus of a symposium aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown for free where members of the Bastards will discuss the Battalion’s history, strategy and one of the members will be awarded the Bronze Star. Click here to see our interview with Patriots Point Public Information Officer Chris Hauff, online now.
As we slide into August, a staple of 90’s Lowcountry music is headed back to the stage! About once a year, Uncle Mingo emerge from their underground dwelling and if they see their shadow we have six more weeks of FUNK! The Windjammer naturally will be the site of this reincarnation of the fabulous four-piece! Get there before 9 this Saturday to turn up the rock and turn back the clock!
That’s all for Lens on Local this week! I’m Adam Bradley and we’ll see you there with your shades on!
