NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (LIFE CENTER CATHEDRAL) – On Saturday, May 4th, at 9:00 a.m., The Life Center Cathedral will host its first annual
MAY M.A.D.N.E.S.S (Making A Difference aNd Encouraging Someone Special) Basketball Tournament.

The purpose of the tournament is to use the sport of basketball as a recruitment tool to raise awareness of the dire need for foster parents and to establish fellowship and partnerships with community organizations.

South Carolina has over 4-thousand children in foster care and not enough foster homes in the state to accommodate the placement of all the children. Due to the shortage of foster homes in our state, children are placed away from the familiar (their school, churches, and family), thus increasing
the trauma they already face as a result of being separated from their families.

May M. A. D. N. E. S. S. Basketball Tournament will be held at Fort Dorchester High School.

A percentage of the proceeds from the tournament registration will assist with purchasing car seats to ensure the safety of children that enter Foster Care.

Join the cause in bringing more awareness to our communities by forming a basketball team to compete in the tournament. The Life Center Cathedral is also seeking exhibitors and vendors as well.

Teams are forming now! Don’t Hesitate! Get involved and Register your team TODAY!!!
