Man Accidentally Fires Gun Before Crashing His Car

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — We now know why police were focused on a stretch of Dorchester Road in North Charleston around 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

According to officers, a man thought he was being followed around by another driver and thought he heard gunshots. So, the man reached for a gun in the glove compartment and accidentally fired it before crashing into another vehicle.

He was arrested for driving under suspension. We are told no one was injured.
