CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WTAT-TV) — Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the deaths of four people Saturday morning.

Just before 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to a residence at 2751 Atlanta Drive in unincorporated Mount Pleasant following reports of deceased individuals.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased bodies of a black male and black female in the garage and two deceased black females were found in a bedroom.

Officers took a suspect into custody who was at the residence, and later confirmed that suspect as 22-year-old Lovequawn Matthew Shaire Scott.

Scott is charged with four counts of murder.

We are told detectives and the Charleston County Coroner’s Office are working to confirm the identity of the deceased victims, and each cause of death.

Detectives say they do not believe a firearm was “discharged at the victims,” according to Captain Roger Antonio, CCSO’s public information officer.

A bond hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
