DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WTAT-TV) — More clean water will soon be on the way to parts of the Lowcountry.

Local leaders will gather with Rep. James Clyburn, Santee Cooper and others to talk about Dorchester Reach, a 10.7 mile long water transmission project.

The project is expected to begin this month and finish early next year. It will carry water between Harleyville and Ridgeville.

That ground breaking ceremony will take place at First United Methodist Church located at 135 East Main Street in Harleyville.
