NCPD Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (BRODIE HART, WTAT-TV) — North Charleston Police have been investigating an officer-involved shooting off Ashley Phosphate Road.

North Charleston Police did confirm that someone was taken to the hospital as a precaution but no serious injuries were reported.

More than a dozen police vehicles had the Spine gas station surrounded after the call came in around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, this is located near Stall High School and Fort Dorchester.

The gas station will likely be closed off throughout the morning as the investigation continues.

Police have not yet said if they have a suspect that they are searching for or if any arrests have been made.
