Celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Month
CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — Each year, approximately 6,000 babies are born with Down Syndrome throughout the United States.
Children and adults living with Down Syndrome are blessed with wonderful gifts they share with society, gifts their families are so proud to celebrate.
The 2018 Lowcountry Buddy Walk is just one way we can show our support for these individuals and their families.
David and Millie Moehlman of the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry shared their family’s story and how you can get involved.
2018 Lowcountry Buddy Walk Details:
– Sunday, October 7
– 12 to 4 p.m.
– Etiwan Park
– 363 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island
– Registration: $10 (includes t-shirt, lunch, participation in all festivities)
