CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — Right now, millions of Americans are living with family members who have a disability.

According to the 2012 census, approximately a third of families had at least one family member with a disability, and chances are you know someone who is caring for a disabled family member, whether it be a child or a parent.

Those who opt to care for their family members at home are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on care.

A study funded by nonprofit ‘Autism Speaks’, found autism alone cost the United States $268-billion dollars in 2015 and is projected to rise to nearly $461-billion by 2025.
