CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — Susan Irish is director of Fabulon, a gallery for art and education in West Ashley.

Coming up, Fabulon will be celebrating its third annual end of summer show called Souvenirs of Summer.

This year, the gallery seeks deep themes of transition and the passage of time.

Art pieces will showcase the significant and symbolic transitions of summer’s end.

Susan shares that her favorite artistic medium is encaustic — an ancient art of painting with beeswax and pigment.

A free and family-friendly artist reception will be held Saturday, August 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Fabulon in West Ashley.
