Habitat for Humanity Fulfilling Its Mission One Milestone at a Time
CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — Habitat for Humanity has been around since 1976.
A local chapter in Berkeley County was formed in 1990 after Hurricane Hugo ravaged the Lowcountry and it has been going strong ever since.

During the past 27 years, Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County has provided over 60 adults and 100 children safe, reliable homes.
Of those 33 homes built, 7 homeowners have already paid off their mortgages.
