CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) – Kidney transplants are the world’s most common organ transplant, followed by liver and heart.

Humans really only need one kidney to survive, so to become an altruistic or voluntary donor you could be saving someone’s life without having to change your own.

Everett German, a kidney transplant recipient joined us in-studio to tell us more about MUSC’s Living Donor Institute Program.
