NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — Some of you among us wake up each day striving to be better than you were yesterday. Whether you realize it or not, that philosophy is called Kaizen.

In Japanese, the literal translation meaning continuous change for the better.

This philosophy is also the foundation for a new organization founded by one local sensei, Yan Agrest, a fourth-degree black belt.

Agrest is an instructor at Masters Studios in North Charleston and part of a newly formed non-profit, Kaizen Way, which brings martial arts to title one schools to teach lessons of discipline, respect and mastering the mind and body.
