But, a disturbing report recently released shows this deadly disease is on the rise with no signs of slowing down.
At the epicenter of this trend is South Carolina. The Palmetto State ranks highest in the number of Alzheimer’s deaths in the country.
The Alzheimer’s Association is on the forefront of battling the devastating disease in South Carolina and across the nation.
Their recent report revealed 89,000 patients are living with the disease — and even worse — our state ranks highest in mortality rates.
