South Carolina Improving in Health According to Annual Report of State Health

CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) – South Carolina is improving its health, falling to number 43 from its previous perch of 46 on a list of the nation’s 50 states ranked by lowest to highest rates of obesity, disease, bad habits and mortality.

We have a long way to go before we enter the stratosphere of optimum health that Massachusetts, Hawaii and Vermont enjoy rated one through three respectively.

Dr. Lucinda Demarco of United Healthcare joined us to about their annual report on the state of health in our country. What better time to begin new good habits than the start of the year?
