Embracing Differences and Providing Solutions for the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — It has been nearly two years since Charleston’s Emanuel AME Church suffered a significant tragedy.
From this tragedy was birthed an opportunity to bring the community together, open dialogue on important issues facing South Carolina, and shine a light on issues affecting race, such as economics, education and criminal justice.
Senator Marlon Kimpson and Brian Duffy, chairman of The Charleston Forum, are helping the lowcountry unite by embracing differences.
The Charleston Forum’s goal is to offer an opportunity for leaders with different perspectives to identify problems and propose solutions.
On June 16 at 5 p.m., The Charleston Forum will be hosting an online forum to provide Charleston citizens with the opportunity to voice their opinions and find solutions for the lowcountry.
