CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) — The much anticipated second season of the popular Netflix drama ’13 Reasons Why’ was released May 18th, and viewers across the nation are binging again.
But not everyone is a fan.
May is also Mental Health Month and the American Academy of Pediatrics has released a set of guidelines for parents on how to confront the issues portrayed in the series.
We spoke with Dr. Elizabeth Wallis, medical director for MUSC’s Friedman Center for Eating Disorders to discuss these issues and how the show could have a negative impact on patients.
