NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — City leaders in North Charleston are working on a project aimed at helping kids with disabilities.

They are calling this the ‘Miracle League’ park, an all-inclusive park that includes zip-line and multi-sensory activities for kids.

Leaders hope to break ground at Park Circle – the only issue is getting the money to pay for it. Leaders need more money to kick-off the project.

One local mother says parks like this are needed.

“As the mother of a child with a disability, it’s needed so that she can play with children who don’t have disabilities,” said Dena Bailey.

The goal is to open that playground by spring 2020. Funding would come grants, corporations and other sponsors.
