First Baptist School Headmaster Arrested During Undercover Prostitution Sting
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (TIM RENAUD, WTAT-TV) — North Charleston police have arrested the headmaster of First Baptist School of Charleston during a Prostitution Enforcement Operation.
North Charleston’s S.P.E.E.D. team conducted the sting throughout the city on Wednesday with an undercover officer posing as a street level prostitute.
Around 4:00 p.m., 67-year-old Thomas Mullins of Hanahan made contact with the undercover officer on Remount Road and engaged in conversation.
As things progressed, Mullins solicited the act of oral sex in exchange for $30.00.
Officers monitoring the incident then initiated a traffic stop on Mullin’s vehicle and placed him under arrest for prostitution.
Officers found a plastic Clemson cup inside the vehicle’s center console which contained an amount of Crown Royal Apple.
Mullins was booked into the Charleston County Detention Center and has been released on bond. His court date is scheduled for July 25th.
