Over 6.5 Million Pounds of Beef Recalled for Possible Salmonella

CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – JBS Tolleson, Inc. of Arizona, is recalling over 6.5 million pounds of various meat products.

The United States Department of Agriculture claims that at least 57 cases of salmonella illness are linked to the outbreak in 16 states.

Recalled brand names include Walmart, Cedar River Farms Natural Beef, Showcase, Showcase/Walmart, and JBS Generic.

Symptoms of salmonella usually begin 12 to 72 hours of consuming infected food. Symptoms include include diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever that last between four and seven days.
