CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — An investigation involving multiple agencies linked two people to credit card skimming incidents.

Investigators say the pair targeted people across the Lowcountry, I-95 corridor and possibly along the entire east coast.

Police in Yemassee say 46-year-old Alberto Yordan and Katty Rios were pulled over on I-95 last week for a vehicle violation.

During a search of their car, police found a large amount of cash, credit card skimmers and money orders.

So far, police have confirmed fraud cases in Jasper County and in Hardeeville.

The pair were transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center where they are expected to appear in federal court on Wednesday.
