Questions Remain After Boy Pulled from Pond
WEST ASHLEY, SC (WTAT-TV) — “He’s coming back, he’s coming back. The water is coming out. He’s coming, come here baby. He’s gonna be alright. He’s gonna be fine…”
911 calls have been released from a woman moments after a boy was pulled from a nearby pond at Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary in West Ashley.
The woman told 911 operators that they were performing CPR on that student, and he was eventually taken to MUSC.
As of today, many of our questions have gone unanswered and the Charleston County School District remains radio-silent.
We still do not know how that child ended up in that pond, how many school staffers were present and why it took so long for the school district to notify parents.
We have been told that child is in stable condition.
