Railroad Company Apologizes For Road Closure During Rush Hour Traffic
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – After days of repair, Ashley Phosphate Road is back open, but people are not so quick to forgive and forget.
Norfolk Southern Railway Company is now apologizing after closing the road twice last week during rush hour.
Most of the frustrated drivers asked the question of why these repairs couldn’t take place overnight.
The company responded saying that their workers do repairs during daylight hours for safety and maximum visibility is necessary for employers to do their job. The company did not state why the repairs could not be done over the weekend.
A portion of Ladson Road is expected to be closed for repairs next week.
