Gubernatorial Debates Happening at the College of Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — The South Carolina gubernatorial race is picking up the pace.

Candidates in the Democratic party will debate Tuesday night at the College of Charleston.

Democrats James Smith, Phil Noble and Marguerite Willis will each participate.

That debate is expected to begin at 7:00 p.m. inside the Stern Center. It will be moderated by FOX 24’s Tessa Spencer-Adams.

A Republican debate will take place on Wednesday at the same time.

That debate will feature Lt. Gov. Kevin Bryant, Yancey McGill, Catherine Templeton and John Warren.

Incumbent Gov. Henry McMaster will not attend the debate.

South Carolina’s primary will take place on June 12th.
