NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) — North Charleston police say they pulled another illegal handgun off the street after arresting a teenager.

Officials say they tried to stop and talk to Lawrence Randolph, but instead he ran away. Police say he threw his shirt and when it was recovered they found a fully loaded gun inside.

Police later found out the gun was stolen from Mississippi. They say that teen also had a large bag of marijuana.

He is now facing several charges including unlawful possession of a pistol by someone under the age of 18.

Meanwhile, seven others are now in custody following a drug bust in North Charleston.

Police say they entered a home off Twitty Street in the Russelldale community Saturday night.

Six of those people were arrested and now face drug and gun charges. A 15-year-old was also arrested and faces similar charges.
