Shelter Incident Inspires New Legislation

CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – Six months ago, Charleston was under a mandatory evacuation. Thousands of people of the Lowcountry fled to evacuation shelters as they feared a direct hit from Hurricane Florence.

FOX 24 discovered that a sex offender was also allowed into the shelter.

Anne Emerson finds out what is being done to prevent this from happening again.
