ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WTAT-TV) — A horse drawn carriage carried the casket of Deputy Sheriff Devin Hodges Tuesday and a 2-hour service was held in Anderson County in honor of the fallen officer.

Authorities say Hodges drowned last Thursday after his life jacket got caught on a boat propeller during an exercise.

People from the community lined the roadways waving American flags as the casket drove by.

Deputy Hodges leaves behind a wife and four children.
