Spicy Snacks Causing Children to be Sent to ER
CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – Be careful what you pack in your child’s lunch this week. Doctors say that one popular snack is sending children to the emergency room.
Dr. Carla Laos of saint David’s Children Hospital says that spicy sncaks are causing problems. She has treated patients raging from three to seven years old. “It can cause irritation anywhere from the mouth to when the food leaves the body,” she stated.
Frito-Lay released a statement that it’s Flamin’ Hot Cheetos meet all safety guidelines.
Leaders admit that some people can be more sensitive to spicy food and should consume them in moderation.
