St. George Man Accused of Pepper-Spraying, Harming Young Children
ST. GEORGE, SC (WTAT-TV) — Officials in Dorchester County have arrested a man who they say harmed young children following a month-long investigation.
Mark Carlisle Childers, 24, has been charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of first-degree assault and battery, according to St. George police chief Brett Camp.
Officials say Childers fondled, pepper-sprayed and touched three children with a taser. The victims are ages 2, 5 and 7.
All three victims participated in a forensic interview through St. George Police and the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center.
Childers is being held at the Dorchester County Dentention Center. His bond was set at $150,000.
