CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — We have a lot of foot traffic here in the Holy City; seems like there’s a 5k every other day sometimes but all runners from the most casual to the completely hardcore know that this Saturday is the big one.

The 41st annual Cooper River Bridge Run is here! The 10k begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant and the finish line is Downtown where entertainment, vendors, food, souvenirs and refreshments will be waiting. Whether you ’re coming out to compete for first place, walking the bridge with your friends or standing on the sidelines supporting your loved ones, it’s sure to be quite the experience for everyone, as it has been for the past 40 years.

Spring has sprung. Summerville is in full bloom this weekend with the 46th annual Flowertown Festival. Come embrace mother nature’s gift of hot pink azaleas to purple wisteria. Not only will you be attending the number one arts and crafts festival in the Southeast, you are supporting health and wellness programs of the Y. Come join in the fun all weekend.

I’m Adam Bradley and that will wrap up this week’s Weekend Wine Down.
