The Weekend Wine-Down – What’s Happening This Week in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — Mother’s Day is this Sunday and as a self-proclaimed ‘Momma’s Boy’ it is my privilege and duty to bring you the best picks to make sure you remain mom’s favorite.
Greek Fest is somewhat of a Mother’s Day tradition here in Charleston. As the city’s oldest festival, they’ve had quite a while to get it right – this will be their 48th year, in fact. This festival takes place Friday through Sunday and boasts a ton of great Greek grub, wines, music, dancing and way too much to list here. If you want the real skinny on this fantastic event, tune in tonight at 11 for FOX 24 News Now as I sit down with Kelly Hammond and Andrea Turner and go over everything you can expect downtown at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Mother’s Day is really about pampering mom, right? And what better way to do so than with wine and chocolate? Deep Water Vineyard on Wadmalaw comes through again on Saturday with a wine and chocolate pairing featuring their locally crafted Muscadine wines and truffles galore that will make sure mom knows who truly made her day.
I’m Adam Bradley and that’s it for this week’s Weekend Wine Down. Oh, and by the way… I love you, mom!
