The Weekend Wine-Down – What’s Happening This Week in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) – Let your inner high-society out this weekend and head to Ravenel for the Victory Cup. Known as “America’s Polo Match”, this event is more than just a polo tournament.
With hot air balloons, fun fashion, food and drink, everyone can get their hoity-toity on and enjoy the good life. A variety of ticket options are available at a variety of price points so dust of your derby hats and parasols and it’s off to Hyde Park Farm Friday and Saturday.
For a more festive vibe, set your GPS to exit 205 off I-26 where just down the road you’ll experience the most vibrant cultural festival of the year. The 27th annual Latin American Festival kicks off at noon on Sunday with a bevy of family-friendly entertainment including four time Grammy nominees Plena Libre, demonstrations from Capoiera Charleston, The Buen Aché Dance Group and plenty of others. Wannamaker Park is the place and kids 12 and under are free!
I’m Adam Bradley and that will wrap up this week’s Weekend Wine Down!
