CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — Happy hump-day ladies and gents and welcome to oyster season! It’s a huge tradition ‘round these parts and we have several roasts this weekend where you can get your shuck on.

Possibly the biggest around happens this Friday at the South Carolina Aquarium for the Good Catch Oyster Fest. With partners such as The Boathouse at Breach Inlet and Fleet Landing, the food and drink will be top-notch, even if oysters aren’t your thing. This shuck-fest gets underway at 6:30 pm Friday. Other oyster-centric events this weekend take place at The Rusty Rudder, Runnymede Plantation, Oakley Farms, and Daniel Island Grille.

Here’s something for Dad and his little princess; this Friday Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant will host the 11th annual Lowcountry Christian Community School Father-Daughter-Dance. Doors open at 5:30 and admission includes dinner, photo ops, flowers for the princess and of course the dance.

And don’t miss the official Weekend Wine Down event every Saturday starting at noon at Deep Water Vineyard. This week enjoy eats from Wraps Around the World and live music from Don Merkle.

I’m Adam Bradley and that’s a look at this week’s Weekend Wine-Down.
