CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — Happy Valentine’s Day to all the happy couples out there – for the rest of us, happy Wednesday. Good stuff on the way this weekend though for those attached and otherwise starting with SEWE!

The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition comes to town starting on Friday with a bevy of entertainment possibilities regardless of whether you’re an outdoors-y type or not. Demonstrations of everything from dock dogs to birds of prey, sheep and duck herding demos and so on will be a big part of the expo, along with amazing food and drink from top artisans plus traditional art and music. It’s a big weekend as all veteran Charlestonians know so get those tickets now as this is one of the most anticipated events of the entire year.

If you just can’t wait for Summer and have the urge to dive in to the chilly waters of the Atlantic, this is your weekend! Take to the seas off the Isle of Palms to raise awareness and funding for the Special Olympics this Saturday at the Windjammer. Our own resident glutton for punishment Leyla Gulen will be among those crazy enough to take the dip so join her and raise some money for a good cause!

Also Saturday join us for the Weekend Wine Down event at Deep Water Vineyard on Wadmalaw featuring food from Kay’s Southern Gourmet and music from Jah Creation.

I’m Adam Bradley and that’ll do it for this week’s Weekend Wine Down!
