CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on the 17th but if you just can’t wait to live like the Irish then we have a couple of events for you a full WEEK in advance!

FOAM. Lots of it. 2.5 million cubic feet of it. That’s what you can expect Saturday at Johns Island County Park! The 5K Foam Fest pits humans vs 22 obstacles, mud, over 3 miles of terrain and yes… FOAM. Not to mention the worlds largest inflatable waterslide, slip and slides, live music and tons of food and drink for foam fiends of all ages.

Saturday afternoon shake your shamrocks on down to Park Circle for the St. Patrick’s Day Block Party and Parade. We’ll kick things off at the crack of noon with the parade and afterwards Olde Village will be transformed into a sea of green with Irish music, food trucks, and street vendors. I’m sure a green beer or two will be consumed and after that, a ride on the mechanical bull will be downright necessary.

Also don’t forget about the Weekend Wine Down event every Saturday on Wadmalaw – this week featuring music from Cotton Blue Band and Miracle’s Tasty Express on the grill!

I’m Adam Bradley and that’ll wrap up this week’s Weekend Wine down!
